The adventures of John Storm and the Elizabeth Swann. John Storm is an ocean adventurer and conservationist. The Elizabeth Swann is a fast solar and wind powered boat. During a race around the world, news of the sinking of a pirate whaling ship reaches John Storm and his mate Dan Hawk. They decide to abandon the race and try and save the wounded whale.

GREGOR MALVANE – BACKSTORY

The Chairman, of Vanta Logistics is Gregor Malvane. He has dual citizenship—Cypriot and Liberian. The Black Tide is registered at Comoros, a lesser-known but notoriously lax maritime registry. Vanta Logistics was founded in 2003, in a warehouse in Valletta, Malta, by a consortium of ex-military contractors and deregulated shipping brokers. Their Core Business: “Special cargo” logistics a euphemism for oil slops, e-waste, and decommissioned chemicals.

Vanta have a fleet of 12 tankers, all registered under flags of convenience (Comoros, Mongolia, Palau), with opaque ownership structures. In 2015 Vanta Logistics was fined for falsifying manifests in Rotterdam. Sued in 2018 by a Senegalese fishing cooperative for suspected bilge dumping. Case dismissed due to “lack of jurisdiction.” 

For current operations, Vanta uses shell companies to charter vessels to third parties, distancing itself from direct liability. The Black Tide is its flagship—equipped with modified tanks for “dual-use” cargo, including untraceable sludge.

Gregor's dual citizenships — Cypriot and Liberian - are both linked to offshore finance and maritime loopholes. He wears Immaculate suits, silver hair slicked back, a serpent pin on his lapel. His voice is calm, almost hypnotic, but his eyes never smile. In public he appears as a Philanthropist and “global logistics innovator,” often seen at climate summits giving empty speeches about “green shipping corridors.” A trick he learned from many British politicians, who say one thing in public to fool the electorate, and do another, once the fools in ballot boxes have cast their vote.

In reality, he is a former hedge fund manager turned maritime mogul. Known for laundering toxic assets—both financial and literal—through shell companies in the British Virgin Islands and Mauritius. He has rumored Ties and Alleged connections to illegal waste disposal networks in Southeast Asia, and implicated in a 2021 whistleblower leak involving falsified ballast water records.
